Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files that a website or its service providers can store on your device. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember preferences, and to keep you signed in.

SYB Ascend does not set tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to build marketing profiles or to follow you across other websites.

We do set a small number of first-party cookies that are needed to run the Site: a notice cookie after you dismiss the cookie banner, signed cookies for the client portal and staff admin, and a short-lived cookie while we confirm a sign-in code. Those cookies are httpOnly (they cannot be read by scripts in the page) and are used only to keep your own session on this site.

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may also use functional cookies needed to deliver and secure the site. If we enable analytics in the future, an analytics provider may set cookies to measure aggregate, anonymized usage. These are functional or analytics cookies, not advertising cookies.

• syb-cookie-consent — remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every visit.
• syb_portal — keeps a client signed in to the invoice portal. It is set only after a successful client login and lasts up to 14 days, or until you sign out.
• syb_portal_otp and syb_admin_otp — keep a pending sign-in while we wait for the one-time email code. They last up to 10 minutes and do not grant portal or staff access by themselves.
• syb_admin — keeps staff signed in to the invoice admin. It is set only after a successful staff login and lasts up to 12 hours, or until you sign out. A client session cookie cannot be used as a staff session.

• Functional cookies — needed for the site to load, keep you signed in, and stay secure.
• Analytics cookies — if enabled, used to understand aggregate, anonymized usage so we can improve the site.
• Advertising cookies — not used on this site.

When you pay an invoice, checkout opens in an iPOSpays hosted page (including an embedded frame on the portal). iPOSpays may set its own cookies on its payment domain to complete the charge. That checkout is operated by iPOSpays, not by SYB Ascend. Card details are not stored in SYB cookies.

You are in control. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and you can usually choose to be warned before a cookie is stored. Blocking the portal or staff session cookies will sign you out and prevent those areas from working until you allow them again.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, including if we enable new services. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
